Right now we are w/o a lawn mower, so the grass will
be waist high before summers end. Hiring someone is
      OUT of the question,

We live in a neighborhood of about 1/2 acre lots…when we got desperate while
the lawn mower was in the shop DH “cut” the lawn with the weed wacker! Since he
can no longer cut grass since his transplant I took over that job. We have a
riding mower (and will probably sell it) but I like the exercise of pushing the
mower. It takes 2-3 hours but since I am dieting I figure the exercise is good
for me. BTW hubby now does the house work and cooking. Believe me I would
rather mow the lawn than clean house any day. Kim in MI
