Peanut Butter Birdseed Balls

1/2 pound ground beef suet
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups cornmeal
8 – 14 inch lengths of Decorative cord
Wild birdseed, hulled or un-hulled, sunflower seeds or dried corn kernels, raisins

Melt suet in medium size saucepan. Remove from heat, Blend in peanut butter &cornmeal to make stiff dough. Chill 30-60 minutes.
While that is cooling, Tie ends of cord piece each together in knot, making loops. When dough is ready. Mold balls around knot on each loop, so that knot is in center. Roll in seed mixtures (1 or all), coating thoroughly. Refrigerate an hour or more.
