Grind suet in a meat grinder. (Usually a butcher will do this at your request in the store)
Place suet in roasting pot with 1/2 inch of water; cover with tin foil & bake 350°F oven for a couple hours. Stir occasionally. Once fat begins to run, poke holes in the tinfoil to let it “breathe”. Strain off liquid fat and use in your favorite bird treat recipes.
