Carrot & Apple Horse Cookies
1 cup sweet feed
2 cup bran
1 cup flax seed
4 large carrots, shredded
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup applesauce
Mix molasses, brown sugar, carrots & applesauce, blending well.
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Gradually add the sweet feed mixture To the WET mix to form a stiff dough. (You may add more bran if necessary to stiffen the dough.)
Grease a cookie sheet & drop dough by large tablespoons, flatten with the bottom of a glass. (flour glass to prevent sticking).
Bake 50-55minutes 300 degrees F . Flip and bake for an additional 45 minutes until they are dried completely.
