Don’t put those beach toys away just yet, make indoor Moon Sand and keep the summer fun going year round! This simple, inexpensive recipe is fun for kids of all ages and will keep them busy for hours.

You’ll Need:
8 cups of Flour
1 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil (or baby oil)
5-10 drops essential oil (your choice & completely optional)

Combine all the ingredients in a bucket or bowl, mixing well, and let the kids play. It’s as simple as that!

We like to add Thieves or Lavender essential oil to the mixture. The lavender is calming to kids and also has antibacterial properties.

Alternative Recipe:

1 c. Extra fine Sand
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 Tbs Dawn Dish Soap (regular)
few drops of food coloring of your choice

Mix the ingredients well, then add:

1/4 c. water

Mix well again, then add:

1/4 c. cornstarch

Mix well and let it rest a few hours or overnight.

The 2nd recipe lasts considerably longer. Essential oils can be added with the water if desired.
