Make your own chemical free make-up removers using simple, natural ingredients. This homemade recipe removes makeup without irritating or drying out your skin like commercial cosmetic cleaners have a tendency to do.

I personally don’t wear much makeup, but when I do, I don’t like to use harsh chemicals that strip my skin of its natural oils. Here are a couple of my favorite homemade cosmetic remover recipes.

Gentle Cosmetic Remover
2 Tbs Coconut Oilor Almond Oil or Olive Oil
2 Tbs Witch Hazel

Combine the two ingredients in a small container, seal and shake well to mix thoroughly. Use as you would any cosmetic remover, taking care not to get it in your eyes.

Super Sensitive Remover Recipe:
2 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tbs Water

Combine in a small container, seal and shake well to blend. Apply with clean cotton rounds to remove make-up, using care around the eyes not to get it into your eye!

Both recipes should be shaken before each use and can be stored up to a year in a sealed container.

Also, to make homemade makeup remover pads, cotton rounds can be purchased from the beauty aisle and soaked in any of the above mixtures. They fit perfectly in mason jars!

Also, Straight Jojoba oil can be used to remove makeup naturally. Jojoba oil is the only oil that matches your skins natural oils (sebum).
