If there is any of you who have chased any kind of kitchen wrap around when unrolling it, you are going to like this tip…
There is a tab on each end of the box that you depress. It keeps the roll from taking flight. Instead of using my finger I just make a V with a paring knife then depress it. I, being one to not usually pay attention to details, just learned of this several years back.
Thought I’d pass this along just in case there was somebody who didn’t know about it.
Also, if you have limited space in your kitchen cabinets, here’s a simple way to store the foil or plastic wrap, pop the end tabs as shown above and then use inexpensive adhesive storage hooks to hold them in place on the wall or cupboard.
thanks so much. i’ll give it a try.
why didn’t i think of that??? thank you! i will have to go right now and do that to all the wraps in my cabinet!
i never noticed the tabs! i will use this for sure and tell my friends! thanks so much!
that’s a smart idea. thanks
omg how smart. the things i am learning on this site
thanks so much for a great tip. never noticed those before.
well i’ll be, after all these years, i never noticed. thanks!
I did not even pay that any attention until now. WOW!! Great info!!
dah, how simple is that…
i just checked a bunch of boxes of cling wrap, aluminum foil and wax in my drawers. no “tabs” found. i guess some manufacturers do it and others don’t.
however, the tip of cutting the “v” as shown is a wonderful tip. very useful to know this.
