Strong Laundry Detergent (Heavily Soiled Clothing)
1 Cup Finely Grated Fels Naptha Soap- run it through a food processor grater if possible!)
1 Cup Washing Soda
1 Cup Borax
Combine all ingredients until well mixed and store in covered container. Use 1-2 Tablespoons per wash. You’ll need to use warm or HOT water to avoid a residue or undissolved powder. We highly recommend this super simple Super Concentrated Laundry Sauce Recipe:
i am a big fan of the diy laundry soap! i found adding oxygen powder and unstopables of equal parts to the soap recipe makes it smaell wonderful!!
i love this stuff! it makes whites really, really glistening white!! gave a cup full to a neighbor and she washed a load of clothes for her daughter who had ruined all of them when washing them with a red garment that was unknowingly mixed in with them …
hence all her whites were now pink!! my neighbor washed the pink clothes in this laundry soap and allowed them to soak for an hour or so … they came out perfectly white!!!
now, she loves this product and is telling everyone about it!!!
i only tried a half batch because i couldn’t find the grater. i did chop the soap pretty small; but it was still coarse. used about 5 T per load because of the size of the washer and added my store bought liquid softener.
The clothes came out AWESOME and the smell is so clean and fresh, no perfumey smell. I cant wait to get the equipment to make the sauce.

i have been using this for about a year, except i add 1 large box of Baking Soda and OxyClean to mine. Love the fact that it doesn’t have all the perfumes, but the clothes are CLEAN. I also use a ball of Aluminum Foil, in place of a dryer sheet.
The clothes are still soft, wrinkle free and no static. I have allergies to perfumes and just want clean clothes. Besides, it is so much cheaper than buying fabric softener all the time.
i haven’t been able to find fels naptha but was able to get a soap bar called linda. then went on the hunt for washing soda which i also couldn’t find but i read on a few sites that you could make it by putting baking soda on a tray and baking it at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Has anyone tried that or heard of it?

:cloud9: I have used my first batch of this super laundry sauce! love it!! the only change i made was i also grated a bar of “english lavender” bath soap ( bought for $1 at Dollar Tree) WOW!
My clothes are clean and they smell amazing!
I have some “super dirty” clothes from the ranch work tho. How do I kick it up a notch to get those dirty ranch jeans clean??

i love this detergent. i was pessimistic but have converted. the first time i used a shower bar soap and baking soda.
not only was i impressed by the savings but also by scet free, bright colored/whter clothes than ever. don’t have to scrub what i normally scrub anymore.
