Spider Spray

1 capful Lemon Joy (dish soap)
1 capful Listerine
1 T. ammonia
1 quart water

Combine all in a spray bottle and apply to areas where spiders are seen entering your home.

  1. I’ve read also that peppermint oil on cotton balls or just sprinkled around boarders of home keeps spiders, ants and most creepy crawly things away. I’m not sure if it’s the strong peppermint scent or if there is something else in the oil that is effective. But we’ve only had two spiders this year in our house and I only put the cotton balls in my bedroom.

    (We have 2 story 4 bedroom 20th home 6ppl live here) so I’d say that’s not to bad. If you place the peppermint oil on the outside of house/windows/deck/garage, ect.. then I would think you would need to repeat every few weeks specifically if it had rained.

    I changed out my cotton balls once over the summer.
