Pumpkin Meatballs
1 1/3 lb ground turkey breast
3/4 cup canned 100% pumpkin puree
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tbs brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tbs chopped fresh sage
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
favorite 15-oz jar of sauce or home-made, on low heat

Using a fork, mix together the turkey meat, pumpkin puree, egg, sugar and seasonings in a large bowl until well combined (about 30 sec) and sticky.
Preheat the oven to 350˚. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Form the turkey mixture into evenly sized (approximately 1 1/2-in) meatballs.
Bake the meatballs for 15 min on one side. Carefully turn them over and bake for an additional 15 min. Remove from oven and add meatballs to pot of simmering sauce. Cover and simmer for another 10 to 15 min, allowing meatballs to soak up the yummy sauce flavor. Serve over pasta or rice. Makes 22 meatballs
