Herb-Wine Beef:love:
4-6 lb beef roast — you know the cheap, tough one or stew beef
1 cup red wine
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 lemon, sliced thinly
2 tbs parsley
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Place beef in the crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over beef. Cook on low 3 to 4 hours.
Depending on your choice of beef, this is great with roasted or mashed potatoes, or egg noodles and peas on the side.
you can make a wonderful gravy with the juices. this is definitely a meal that the guys like.
