I called up the Kmarts in South FL and it seems like we aren’t doing it either. Oh well.

Yes you have heard correctly. I called K-Marts head office today to verify. The local stores have been hit hard and wouldn’t let their ad out at this time. K-Mart does have a 1-866 number so you can call to verify also, for your state. They did tell me that all K-Marts would have this ad in Ohio starting 11/30/08. Thanks for the info– - faxonfive

- NiddiYeah!!!!! My K-mart advertised super double today and the rest of the week. This was the first time in SC that I know of. Everybody must have been there 1st thing this morning, I went after church and lots of stuff gone, still got enough good deals to be exited about it. plan to go back later in the week to see if they restocked. Oh I just love bargains.

I enjoyed reading your blog for ideas! I am planning on going this week – they advertised it here too for all week long. I planned for it yesterday since my last trip was a disaster and I ended up spending $30 when I thought everthing was free.
So this time I made sure no coupons were over the $2 limit. And… I made sure the coupons were $1 or $2 to maximize my savings.A question I had though… is about overage. Are they supposed to know that they alter the amount for overage. Last time what happened was they did for one item but not for others so I got confused and wondered if they really doubled the coupon or not.
It’s really hard to keep track of it all if your Kmart doesn’t have those checkout things you read as they ring up your items and coupons. I was leaning into the ladies register machine to see what she was doing and she was going too fast. So for example, the Dove shampoo was $3.79 and the $2 off coupon doubles to $4 off. I know they say no overage, but I only say a $2 off coupon and not -1.21 cents like it should have been. So I’m wondering if the second doubled $2 off wasn’t taken off. Does this make sense??
Since she did do that for the tic tacs. They were I think $1.29 and the register showed up with a $1 off and another $.29 off instead of another $1 because of no overage. So is this something the cashier is supposed to know to do? We don’t have doubles here in FL and last time I went to do this at Kmart all the cashiers were clueless. So i just want to make sure i get the best deals. 🙂 - JoAnn

You have made alot of good points in your posting. Most of all you do have to watch your register cashier. And ask when you start your transactions. Not all are on the same page. The K-Mart that I shopped at wouldn’t take comp printed coupons, so I just put back those items. Because I forgot to ask before picking up these items. Then the cashier had to take some of those items off the tally too. She really didn’t like that but things happen. Another day of learning for all — as I see it. Over all I did do very well.
