      Frugal Mom

I don’t have an exact monetary break down for this recipe but this is a recipe my mother made to feed her family of seven.

      Beef Pinwheel

      1/2 pound ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup, condensed
      Milk to thin
1 batch of biscuit dough using the Bisquick recipe
      Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare biscuit dough following directions on the back of the Bisquick box. Lightly flour surface and pat out dough in about 11 x 7-inch oblong.

Brown the ground beef and drain off fat. Season with salt and pepper.

Add half a can of cream of mushroom soup to the ground beef. Stir to combine.

Thin with milk until you are happy with the consistency.

Spread beef mixture over biscuit dough. Roll up as for a jelly roll.

Bake until the biscuit dough is golden and the filling is bubbly.

While the beef pinwheel is baking, add the remaining cream of mushroom soup to a saucepan. Thin with milk until desired consistency is reached. Heat until bubbly.

Slice beef pinwheel and serve with sauce.

Note: Mom used to make two of these using a pound of ground beef for two pinwheels. She used to season this up with onion powder or curry powder for something different.
