Thread: Freezing Cheese

I grate all my bricks of cheese with my sald shooter and freeze in
recipe size proportion. I use some for grilled cheese sandwhiches etc.
We just bought 10 pounds of tillamoomk and bandon cheddar cheese..2
pound bricks for $3.88 . a real bargian in our area. jo..God bless

I have frozen bits of cheese before but the only cheese I froze in a large
block was cheddar. When defrosted, the taste was fine, but it became
crumbly. Still, it was perfect for us, as we didn't need to grate it at all
and it was big enough to sprinkle on salad.
I have shredded mozzarella in the freezer right now, I will let you know how
it turns out!
