2 quarts water
3 Lipton tea bags (standard size)
1 cup granulated sugar
In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil over high heat.
As soon as the water hits a rolling boil, remove it from the heat, add the tea bags, and cover the saucepan.
Let it steep for exactly 1 hour, covered and undisturbed and then remove the tea bags.
Add 1 cup of sugar to a 2-quart pitcher, then add the brewed tea.
Stir to dissolve the sugar. Pour the tea into a glass filled with ice to serve.
Makes 2 quarts of “McDonald’s Sweet Tea”
