I buy a family pack of cubed steak, and freeze it.
a few days later I pull it out of the freezer, set in crock pot. I sprinkle a packet of liptoin onion soup and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. cook on low 9 hours or so.
this makes the worst looking gravy every. when I come home from work, I stir this. the meat is very tender and falls apart.I usually serve this over rice or noodles. today I am going to serve it over mash potatoes.

I am not sure if this would work with pork cutlets. the reason I used cubed beef because it is one of the cheapest meats you can buy. therefor it is also one of the worst. that is why I cook it for 10 hours.

Looks like a good recipe. I’m not a fan of cream of mushroom soup. I wonder what else I could use.
I do have lots of cubed steak in my freezer and would love another way to cook it (besides chicken fried). 😉 - June 3, 2013 at 8:44 pm #439930bethaliz6894
if you look around this web site, you will find a cream of ‘nothing’ recipe. you could use that. you could also use cream of celery or cream of onion.
