Tips-n-Tricks: Unclog your Toilet
Submitted by Pookster:
I accidentally flushed an old adult size toothbrush down our toilet in a bucket of cleaning solution (had used it to clean fittings). Plumbers snake didn't work. Plumber I called said it would cost 0 and he would have to replace the toilet. I thought why not use the suction of our shop vac to try and get it out. Turned off water supply. Sucked excess water out with shop vac. Then.....voila! The shop vac sucked the toothbrush right up into the bottom of the toilet bowl!
Hope this saves someone else too. I think it could work on a lot of hard objects - toys, etc. Good luck!
