What Are the Benefits of Eating Peas?

Peas are a low-glycemic food, that contains a number of phytonutrients, including Coumenstrol, (a polyphenol believed to have anti-cancer properties) as well as saponins which work in conjunction with other phytonutrients to fight insulin resistance.

In addition to tasting fantastic, peas contain molybdenum, a micronutrient that assists the metabolism of proteins! Creamy bacon pea salad is a wonderfully simple side dish that goes great with grilled meats of all types.
