The secret to this delicious rich chocolate pudding is the Instant Chocolate Pudding mix! If you want to alter the flavor just a touch, use Devils Food Chocolate Pudding Mix. If you prefer a flavor more reminiscent of a Hershey’s bar use Hershey’s Chocolate Pudding Mix.

In a large container combine the following ingredients:

4 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1½ cups sugar
1 cup non-dairy powdered coffee creamer
⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding

Mix the ingredients well to fully combine. To use, add 2-3 Heaping Tablespoons of mix per mug and fill with hot water, stirring to dissolve.

Homemade cocoa mix is a great addition to gift baskets and college care packages as well!

Diabetic Variation:

This mixture can be altered to accommodate diabetics as well, substitute the sugar with 3-4 c. splenda and use a Sugar free Pudding Mix.

  1. I absolutely love this stuff. It is so much more chocolaty and less sweet than the commercial hot chocolate. One tip – after mixing it all together, I sifted it into another bowl.

    this mixes it more evenly.
