This is by far the easiest (and tastiest!) crockpot creamed corn recipe you’ll find. This recipe is a particular favorite of our two sons.
They love it so much, they now prepare it on their own so they can bring “their special recipe” any time they go to a family dinner or a potluck. They also like to add cooked ham pieces to make it a meal. We use a 4-quart crockpot for this recipe.
You’ll Need:
2 lb. bag of frozen corn kernels
1 stick margarine or butter (1/2 cup)
1 8oz. package of cream cheese (low fat or Neufchâtel can be used also)
seasoned salt to taste
cooked ham pieces (optional)
This is a true “dump” recipe for the slow cooker. Place the butter on the bottom of the crockpot (slow-cooker), then simply dump in the remaining ingredients. Cook on low 6-8 hours stirring occasionally.
Enjoy,
MarshaE
