If you loved Burger King French Toast Sticks, you’ll adore this simple, yet delicious make at home breakfast treat.

You’ll Need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 5 tbsps. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Butter, as needed
  • 1 1/4″ slices Hawaiian sweet bread, cut into 1″ wide strips

In a shallow bowl beat eggs, milk and vanilla extract together until well blended.

In another bowl combine sugar and cinnamon, mixing well, then set aside.

Melt a bit of butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Lightly dip each bread strip into the egg mixture then dip immediately into the cinnamon sugar and place in the hot skillet to cook. Do not soak the break when you dip it, just lightly coat on all sides.

Cook for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown. Add more butter as needed while cooking the remainder of the strips.

Serve with a small container of Maple Syrup for dipping and fresh berries.
