This homemade copycat McCormick creamy garlic Alfredo sauce mix can be made ahead of time and stored in the pantry for convenience. The alfredo sauce already contains milk and seasonings, so all you need to add is water and a bit of butter to create a delicious flavorful sauce.
This is lovely mix to have on hand to create last minute mug mix gifts for Alfredo pasta (for college care baskets, elderly care, after-school snacks and more!)
This Alfredo sauce can be used on any type of pasta, rice or even quinoa.
You’ll Need:
1 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
1⁄4 cup cornstarch
1⁄8 cup dried onion flakes
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon white pepper
2 cups parmesan cheese (from a can)
2 tablespoons butter Powder
2 tablespoons sour cream powder
Combine all of the ingredients into a jar, seal and shake to combine or in a zipclose bag. Any airtight container will do. Prior to using, stir the contents thoroughly to ensure they are well mixed.
In a saucepan combine 1/4 c. mix, 1 Tbs melted butter and 1 cup milk or water in a saucepan over medium heat, bring to a boil stirring constantly until thickened.
Serve over Pasta, rice, steamed veggies or anything else you’d like!
