This creamy crockpot ranch chicken is probably one of the easiest recipes you’ll ever encounter!

This is a quick, easy dump recipe that uses store bought convenience items. However, we’ve provided links to our Homemade Copycat recipes if you’d prefer to control the ingredients (particularly the sodium!) and opt for a more homemade approach.

You’ll Need:
1 Ranch Seasoning Dry Mix Packet
1 can Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom Soup (plus 1 can of water or milk)
1.5- 2pounds Raw Chicken Breast

1 pkg frozen Broccoli
Noodles or Garlic Smashed Potatoes

Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker. In a small bowl combine a can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup with 1 can of milk and a packet of hidden valley ranch seasoning mix. (We make our own copycat ranch mix and use 2Tablespoons for this recipe).

Pour the seasoning over the chicken. Cook on Low 4 hours, add thawed broccoli, cook an additional 45 min- 1 hour. Serve over hot cooked noodles or Garlic smashed potatoes (our favorite!)

Cook on low 4-6 hours.

If you have time, sear the chicken on each side before placing in the slow cooker, heat 1 tbs of oil in a skillet until piping hot, add chicken breast that has been lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, brown each side on high heat just to give it a bit of color, then place in the crockpot/ slow- cooker.

  1. I fixed this and it is a keeper. I pan seared the chicken before putting it into the slow cooker. Our pieces of chicken breast were small and were done after three hours on low.

After adding the broccoli and letting cook another hour on low, the chicken was drier than I liked it, however my wife thought it was fine. Our bag of broccoli was only 12 ounces which was not enough. We’ll get a 16 ounce bag next time.

Although I lightly seasoned (salt and Pepper) the chicken prior to pan searing it it was still a bit bland. We used the Aldi’s store brand ranch dressing mix. Next time I’ll probably add some other spice(s).

Since our family is just the two of us now, this made two meals for us. First time I served it with noodles. The chicken and sauce warms over well in the microwave. I made a wild rice mix, out of a box, and it was great with the chicken. I also used a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.
