While any type of powdered cinnamon will work, we use Ceylon cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon (True Cinnamon) is native to Sri Lanka as well as southern parts of India. It has a milder aroma and flavor than it’s more widely used counterpart Cassia Cinnamon.
If you’ve visited Texas Roadhouse or Logan’s and tasted the sweet honey butter on their luscious rolls, this recipe will be a hit for you, it certainly surpasses both of those!
Cinnamon Honey Butter
You’ll Need:
1/4 c. Honey
1 stick room temperature Butter (Not margarine!)
1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Combine all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, and using a hand mixer (on low) begin beating them to blend.
Once the ingredients are completely combined, turn the mixer up and whip, incorporating air into the sweetened butter.
Transfer to a covered container and chill until needed.
If you don’t have a hand mixer, or prefer, you can also make this using a food processor. The mini-chopper is perfect! Simply seat the blade in the processor, add the butter, cinnamon, and finally the honey to the bowl.
Process until smooth.
Then transfer to a jar or covered dish until you’re ready to use this delicious homemade cinnamon honey butter.
