Make your own delicious Beef Mushroom freezer mix to have on hand for fast, easy recipes on a busy weeknight, or anytime you need ground beef quickly for a casserole
or other dish.
While this recipe originally calls for ground beef, you can easily substitute ground Turkey instead.

You’ll Need:
4 lbs ground beef
2 1/2 large onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
3 (4 ounce) cans mushroom stems and pieces
1/2 can water or 1/2 can red wine
1 tablespoon instant beef bouillon
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Brown the ground beef, drain and then season with salt and pepper. Add the remaining ingredients, reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool. Divide evenly amongst 4 (1 quart) freezer bags or containers. (Each bag will have approximately 3 cups of mix).

Cover and label as “Beef Mushroom Freezer Mix” and use within 3-6 months.

We highly recommend vacuum sealing the mixture to avoid freezer burn. Use it in recipes calling for Beef Mushroom Mix, such as Freezer mix chow mein
