Make your own delicious Country Herb Chicken seasoning mix for flavorful chicken that can be baked, fried or made into Country Herb chicken & dumplings in no time flat . . .
Country Herb Chicken Seasoning Mix
You’ll Need:
3/4 tsp Rubbed Sage
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp crushed rosemary leaves
1/2 tsp Thyme leaves
1/2 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
3/4 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
Combine all the ingredients in a small jar or zip-seal baggie, seal and shake to combine. This makes 1 pkg of mix.
To Make Baked Country Chicken Breast or Thighs:
To use for baked chicken, combine 1 pkg of the seasoning mix as explained above with 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs, mix well. Dredge chicken breasts in a beaten egg and then dip in the seasoned flour mixture. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes

I liked it very much, but I also added celery seeds. It adds something really tasty.
I was almost in a bind because my local grocery store stopped carrying my favorite McCormick’s Country Chicken seasoning packets, for roasting my turkey. I didn’t want to ruin my Christmas bird by coming up with something on the fly (wasn’t the time for experimenting). So, I searched the internet for a solution.
Boy am I glad I found this site. I doubled the ingredients (because I usually use 2 packets) and it worked out really well. Thank you for the quick fix.
Will be using this recipe a lot in future recipes.
