Bake-it-all-mix
2 cup Vegetable shortening
9 cup All-purpose flour — sifted
1 tbsp Salt
1/4 cup Double acting baking Powder*
Blend all ingredients thoroughly store in tightly covered container. To prevent bugs, freeze for 24 hours. Use in recipes calling for Quick mix/ Bisquick.
i use this mix for everything! i only bake in the winter so i make 1/2 a batch at a time. Still, since it is fall – may have to do the whole thing!
thanks for sharing! i have seen many recipes that calls for bisquick mix and that is something that i just don’t buy often.
is this stored in the freezer or on the shelf?
