Create your own Make ahead Apricot Bread mix! Enjoy the sweetness of these beautiful orange colored fruits all year round with this make your own convenience mix recipe that utilizes dried apricots.
This simple recipe can be made as a quick bread style or in an 8×8 baking dish as a “Cake” and finished off by dusting with powdered sugar.

To Make 1 Jar of Mix You’ll Need:
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1/2 cup dried apricots, finely chopped
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups Bisquick-type Quick Mix
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

If you’re giving this item as a gift, you can layer the ingredients in a wide mouth 1-quart canning jar in order given. In order to get all the ingredients to fit you must press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.

Otherwise, you can simply measure all of the ingredients into a quart zip-style bag, or jar, label it with the instructions to complete the recipe and toss it into your pantry until it’s needed.

Apricot Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease well a large loaf pan or an 8×8 square baking dish, set aside

In a large bowl, pour 1 pkg of Apricot Mix, with a spoon, make a well in the center. Add 1 1/4 cups milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 slightly beaten eggs and 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine into dry mixture, Mixing until completely blended. Spoon the batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes
