Irish tea scone mix is wonderful for throwing together a quick batch of Irish scones for afternoon snacking, breakfast or even a light dessert. This mix makes a lovely gift addition, as you can see from the photo!

Irish Tea Scones Mix

You’ll Need:
1/2 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. currants
3 c. Bisquick- type quick Mix
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c. + 2 Tbs sugar

Combine the Bisquick, cinnamon, and sugar, mixing well. If you’re making a jar gift, place half of the mix in the jar, top with raisins/currants and top with the remaining mix. Otherwise, just combine all of the ingredients and place in a Ziploc bag.

Makes 1 jar of Mix

To Make Irish Scones:

1 jar mix
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. butter

Grease an 8″ round pan, Combine contents of the jar, water, and butter. Mixing until combined, but do not over mix. Spread into an 8″ round pan. Bake 15-17 minutes at 450 degrees. Cut like a pie, Serves 8

Over mixing causes them to become tough.
