Create your own Blue Cheese Vinaigrette dressing mix to create a fast and inexpensive dressing for your favorite salad greens or as a lovely addition to gift baskets.
For a really simple, healthy lunch combine some microgreens with pear slices and halved grapes, top with Blue cheese Vinaigrette dressing.
You’ll Need:
1 teaspoons salt
3/4 tsp sugar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
dash ground red pepper
dash pepper
Combine the above listed ingredients into a small ziploc baggie.
Makes 1 pkg of Mix
Attach a Tag with the following Directions:
To Use:
1 pkg Mix (as listed above)
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/4 c. vinegar
1 c. salad oil
Combine all ingredients in small cruet bottle. Let set at least 30 minutes prior to serving.
Dressing mixes make lovely gift basket additions.

- Combine the salt, sugar, dry mustard, ground red pepper, and pepper in a small zip-top bag or airtight jar.
- Seal and shake to mix evenly.
- To prepare the dressing, add 1 package mix, 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese, 1/4 cup vinegar, and 1 cup salad oil to a small cruet bottle or jar.
- Shake until combined.
- Let stand at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Shake again just before serving.

💡 If you altered the ingredients above by doubling or tripling the recipe, you may also need to change the pan/dish size and adjust the cook time.
Notes
Prepared dressing yield is approximately 1 1/2 cups, or 12 servings at 2 tablespoons each.
Prep time is an estimate based on measuring the mix and shaking the finished dressing.
Dry mix shelf life is an estimated 6 months in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Prepared dressing should be refrigerated and used within 3 to 4 days.
