This very zesty recipe adds flavor to salads and steamed side vegetables whilst adding a gorgeous color to the table setting. Be sure to serve in a glass cruet bottle.

You’ll Need:

1 teaspoons salt
3/4 tsp sugar
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
dash ground red pepper
dash pepper

To Use:

1 pkg Mix
1/4 c. vinegar
1 c. salad oil
1 small cooked beet, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons chopped sweet pickle

Combine all ingredients in small cruet bottle. Let set at least 30 minutes prior to serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the salt, sugar, dry mustard, ground red pepper, and pepper in a small zip-top bag.
  2. Seal and shake to mix well.
  3. To use, add 1 package mix, vinegar, salad oil, finely chopped cooked beet, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped sweet pickle to a small cruet bottle or jar.
  4. Shake well to combine.
  5. Let stand at least 30 minutes before serving.
