just a note Over the years I have heard of people making “Campfire” Caramel in the cans, by cooking them directly over the campfire. Please note that we do not endorse this practice as it is possible for the cans to explode while cooking. eat drink smilie

Crockpot/ Slow Cooker Method for Busy Moms

1.Remove the label off 1 un-opened can of sweetened condensed milk.

2. Place the unopened can in a crock-pot/ slow cooker. Completely submerge the unopened can with water, ensuring the water is completely covering the can, about 1-2 inches over the top. the can must remain completely submerged the entire time it cooks.

3. Cook on the crock-pot’s ‘low’ setting for 8 hours (lid on).

4. Cool down the unopened can in the fridge for at least 2 hours, do NOT open the can until you have cooled it properly.
