oh my goodness! one time when my husband and i were broke all we could find in the house was a couple stale crusts of bread and a can of tuna. we made “fish gravy” which was basically cream of tuna on toast. this recipe sounds very similar!
my husband, having never had creamed tuna, spent months shaking his head about that “fish gravy.” lol!! i loved it!!
yummy over mashed potatoes
we had this alot when i was growing up. we always had it over mashed potatoes, but my son likes it over toast. you can also use canned salmon instead of the tuna. yummy!!!
Its also great over rice
Does anyone have any suggestions on seasoning? I have made it and I enjoy it. I would like to try some variations, but don’t know where I should start.
I have a huge spice & seasoning collection.
Just plain old salt and pepper is the best. Maybe some onion powder. This dish is so good not only because of the flavor, but the simplicity.
