👩🍳 About the Author
Melissa "Liss" Burnell started Budget101.com in 2001 because she needed it to exist — not because she saw a market opportunity. She was feeding a family of four on under $200 a month, and people kept asking how, so she started writing everything down.
That turned into 25 years of recipes, debt-busting strategies, and DIY content — including figuring out how to make 128 loads of laundry detergent for less than $2. Millions of families have quietly used this site to stretch a dollar without feeling like they're sacrificing anything. She's also the author of two bestselling budget cooking ebooks, available on Amazon.

i made this tonight for a recipe and it was delicious. i just wanted to add i was making zucchini sticks and did not notice until a few minutes before they needed to go into the oven that it called for shake and bake. thank you sooooo much for saving me a trip to the grocery store.
i had everything i needed in my cupboard and mixed it up super quick. i love this site!!!
my son loves shake n bake – anything, lol.
i will be making this and keeping handy.
I was making pork chops and was too ‘lazy’ to make more of this shake bake. I opted to buy a box and holy canoli was it expensive! Almost $3.00 for a box with 2 packets in it.
Never again will I run out of this home made taste better than and oh so much cheaper version!
