Chicken/Pork Coating Mix

This well seasoned chicken (or pork) coating mixture is reminiscent of the Shake and Bake seasoning mix that your mom probably used to buy. We love this one for frying, baking, or air-frying chicken or pork pieces.

For an additional kick of flavor, add 1/2 cup of freshly grated parmesan just prior to seasoning your meat of choice.

Chicken/Pork Coating Mix

3 Cups Corn flake crumbs
1 Cup Wheat germ
1/2 Cup Sesame seeds (optional)
4 Teaspoons dried parsley, crushed
1 Tablespoon Paprika
2 Teaspoons Salt
1 Teaspoon Dry mustard
1 Teaspoon Celery salt
1 Teaspoon Onion powder
1/2 Teaspoon Ground pepper

To Prepare: Measure all ingredients into a gallon ziploc bag, seal and shake to completely combine.
To Use: Measure 3/4 – 1 cup of the seasoned coating mix into a shallow dish or large ziploc bag, add chicken or pork that has been dredged in beaten (raw) egg, and coat on all sides.

Bake, Fry, or Air-fry as desired.
