Make your own Classic Creamed Corn using dehydrated corn kernals.
You’ll Need:
- 1 C. dried corn
- 4 C. boiling water
- 2 t. sugar
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1 T. flour
- 1 T. margarine
- 1 T. Minced onion *optional*
- salt and pepper to taste
Add corn to boiling water, cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Simmer corn over low/medium heat until tender. This may take as long as an hour or so. Drain and add remaining ingredients. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
