    • There is way too much flour in this recipe! It tastes of flour, and it is way too thick.

I prefer using corn starch, it takes less than flour I don’t remember the ratio.

I found out thru Google, cut the flour measurement in half to corn starch.

  1. Yea great pie quick and delicious but very dry. The second time I used 3 and3/4 cups of water and got a little thick syrup mixed with the cherries.

  2. This is a great recipe but I did add a half cup more water, decreased the flour to half, and omitted the almond extract a added a tablespoon of lemon juice instead. It was delicious and moist.

I am excited to try this. I am going to use corn starch, increase liquid by half cup ( am thinking of using pineapple juice and maraschino cherry juice instead of water) and substituting lemon juice for almond extract. Wish me luck!
