Poultry seasoning mix is a blend of herbs and spices used to enhance and bring out the natural flavors of chicken, turkey and other game birds as well. It also imparts a delicious flavor to homemade gravies and stews as well.
Rather than purchasing a prepared poultry seasoning, just do it yourself by combining a few select spices. These savory mixes are perfect to use whenever poultry seasoning is called for in a recipe.
When preparing homemade gravy or homemade chicken pot pie, we add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of poultry seasoning mix to the recipe to enhance the flavor with savory herbs.
