    • what is File powder?

Filé powder, also called gumbo filé, is a spicy herb made from the dried and ground leaves of the sassafras tree. It’s used as for both seasoning and thickening and has an earthy flavor.

    • Is this for ground beef? How much would I use and what other ingredients would be good with this?

Sprinkle it on ground beef patties, steaks, venison, etc. while you’re cooking. You basically use it like any other meat seasoning product and a little goes a long way~!
