Step 1: Request a Copy of your Credit Report from each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies.

Here is a sample request letter that you can use to send for your credit report at each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies. You’ll need a copy of each report before you can start to repair your credit.

  1. thank you for fixing it but now when i download it and try to open it in adobe reader. it tells me that it is either not a supported file or it was damaged through email and wasn’t decoded correctly.

  2. to make life easier for us, the federal trade commission offers many helpful articles at federal trade commission | protecting america’s consumers
    under “i would like to..” they offer a link to “get a free copy of my credit report” which states:

    you’re entitled to one free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit reporting companies. Order online from annualcreditreport.com, the only authorized website for free credit reports, or call 1-877-322-8228. You will need to provide your name, address, social security number, and date of birth to verify your identity

    annualcreditreport.com is super easy and time saving without having to worry about companies that are trying to make a profit off you. Request one every year! 🙂
