If you want to make a sweet gift for valentines, you’ll love these adorable conversation heart valentines chocolates! This is fun spin off the holiday pecan chocolates that are quite popular.

These 3-ingredient treats are quick and fun to put together. During the months of January and February some pretzel brands even release heart shaped pretzels, if you want to add an extra touch of love.

If you’re not familiar with conversation heart candies, they are little sweet confection candies with various romantic and fun sayings on them. They can be found at big box stores such as Walmart, Target , dollar stores as well as here on amazon.

Last year, Conversation hearts were not available because the New England Confectionary company, ‘Necco’ stopped producing them. It was the first time since 1866 that these adorable confections were not available.

Luckily, these sweet little hearts are back in time for Valentines day this year!

Heartzels- Heart Shaped Pretzels

You’ll need the following:

Heat the oven to 350F

While it’s warming, place the pretzels on a cookie sheet, place an unwrapped Rolo candy in the center of the pretzel. Repeat until the tray is covered.

Place these in the oven for about 2-4 minutes, just enough to warm the chocolate, but not to melt it.

Remove from oven and place a heart in the center of each chocolate rolo, pressing down gently.

Let them cool completely before serving. They can be placed in a homemade box or bag for gift giving.
