July 25th is officially (or perhaps unofficially!) National Hot Fudge Sundae Day! Considering that the month of July is National Ice Cream Month, it’s no surprise that there are a number of national ice cream flavor days, but today is special- Hot Fudge Sundaes are an amazing combination of creamy ice cream with rich delectable hot fudge that ribbons down over the top in the perfect combination of hot and cold.

It is reported that in 1892 a druggist by the name of Chester Platt (attempted) to trademark “Sundae” for his special concoction of cherry syrup and ice. We agree with Mr. Platt- all Sundae’s need a cherry on top! While the true origin of National Hot Fudge Sundae Day is still a mystery, the best way to celebrate it is pretty clear, by chowing on a delicious sundae, of course!
