Looking for an interesting romantic Valentines’ Day or anniversary gift? Why not make your own edible lotion bars to enjoy a fun, flirty, romantic evening that you won’t soon forget!
What is a Lotion Bar?
Lotion bars are skin-softening lotion in a solid bar. The bar remains at a solid-state until it’s warmed up and can be used anywhere on the body. The natural body heat causes the bar to melt slightly when applied to the skin.
Lickable, edible lotion bars are the ultimate in all-natural, personal lubricants for spicing up your love life. The best part is that they don’t contain parabens, petroleum, silicone or other potentially unhealthy ingredients. Use them to draw on your partner, give massages, playfully tease, all while enjoying the flavors of your choice!
How to Make Edible Lotion Bars
You’ll Need:
2 oz. beeswax
2 oz. coconut oil
1 oz. cocoa butter
1 tsp flavoring extract
Directions:
Melt the wax over low heat. Add coconut oil and cocoa butter. Remove from heat and add flavoring extract of your choice. Pour into molds, let solidify and pop out.
These bars “melt” from the heat of your body! If you choose to use colored extract be aware that it could stain clothing, so clear extracts are a better choice!
You can get bottles of just about any flavor extract, or check in the baking aisle of your favorite grocery store. The chocolate extract is fantastic in this recipe!
The dollar store frequently has heart-shaped ice molds around Valentine’s day and those make adorably sized lotion bars.
