Who wants to be a mad scientist? Here is a simple and inexpensive way to make this costume from home!
A mad scientist is an easy costume to put together, especially in a pinch. First, find or buy a lab coat. See if it can be borrowed from a friend or relative, but if not, buy from a thrift store. Probably only a few dollars, a lab coat is an inexpensive purchase, probably the only thing you’ll need for the costume. Also, assemble a beaker or some other container that looks like it might be used in a lab.
Secondly, wear a pair of wrinkled khakis, some old sneakers, and a wrinkled button up shirt. Put on some old preferably broken glasses and make sure your hair is messy. Put some gel in and run your hands through it, giving it a tousled look. Wear the lab coat and carry the beaker to complete the mad scientist look. Homemade costume ideas are easy with a little creative thinking and flexibility.
