Come a little closer kiddies. . . these enticing gnarled witches fingers are a snazzy way to serve your dinner this halloween . . .
You’ll Need:
1 tb Vegetable oil
8 Boneless chicken tenders (or 4 boneless breasts)
1 c Flour
1 Egg, beaten
1 c Bread crumbs
Pitted black olives, halved Lengthwise
Shredded lettuce
Grease cookie sheet with oil, set aside. Carefully cut chicken breasts part way to create five (the uncut part will be the palm of the hand). Slice them a little crooked for effect.
In a small bowl mix the flour and bread crumbs together, add a touch of salt & pepper.
Dust the chicken fingers in flour mix, dip in egg, and then coat again. Place on prepared cookie sheet, broil 5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
Trim the tips with the olive fingernails and serve on lettuce.
dipping into spaghetti sauce is another option. a great main dish to serve prior to trick-or-treating. a high protein meal prevents snacking before returning home.
a kitchen shears works great for this. if you want to avoid the breading, bbq sauce would give you “bloody witches hands”
We’re making these today but we’re calling them mutilated baby hands & serving then with thai chili sauce!
