Wondering what to do with those leftover egg cartons? Create adorable spooky treat cups for the ghosts and goblins in your life.
You’ll Need:
- Empty Cardboard Egg Carton
- Acrylic Paints in Halloween Colors
- Tissue Paper in Halloween Colors, cut into 3″ Squares
- Scissors (We used Pinking Shears)
- Glue Gun & Glue Stick
- Wiggly Eyes
- Treats
Carefully trim each egg cup from the egg carton, trimming the edges. Paint the cups in various colors for the desired effect. (Green for goblins/witches, orange for pumpkin faces,etc). Once it dries, paint a face on the treat cup or attach wiggly eyes with your glue gun.
Add a tiny dab of hot glue in the bottom of each egg cup and then press the center of the tissue paper into the center of the egg cup. I recommend using the blunt end of a marker to push the tissue paper down so you don’t burn your finger through the tissue paper!
If making this craft with small children, substitute Elmer’s glue for the glue gun. It will take longer for the egg cups to dry but will prevent accidental burns to little fingers!
:jar: these are really cute, we better start saving out egg cartons! i was thinking of wrapping the candies in tissue paper and then gluing 2 of them together so their sealed.
