Headaches and Migraines can be a constant source of aggravation. Here is one of my favorite, simple home remedies that usually works quickly to alleviate tension headaches.
You’ll Need:
3 Fresh Mint Leaves
1/2 Cucumber, Sliced Thinly
1/2 Lemon, Juiced
1 c. Fresh Spring Water (not city water)
Combine all of the ingredients into a tall glass, let it set a few minutes for the flavors to combine and then enjoy.
Repeat as necessary throughout the day.
Other headache/migraine relieving tips include:
~ Cut down on daily caffeine intake
~ Avoid Eating Trigger Foods~ dairy; chocolate; peanut butter; certain fruits, such as avocado, banana, and citrus; onions; meats with nitrates, such as bacon and hot dogs; foods containing monosodium glutamate (MSG); foods containing tyramine, an amino acid found in red wine; and foods that are fermented or pickled
~ Apple a couple drops of lavender essential oil (diluted in a carrier oil) and rub on temples and back of neck to relieve a tension headache quickly
Try B-12 Vitamins- Vitamin B2: A Belgian study found that 60% of people who took 400 milligrams of this vitamin every day had half their usual number of migraines.
