Embarrassed by your smile? Want to have a brighter and whiter smile without the cost of expensive kits sold in stores? Here is a simple recipe you can make at home with ingredients already in your cupboard. Enjoy and whiter and brighter smile immediately after using this recipe and continual whiting with every use.

What you need:

Toothpaste (make sure it is a paste and not a gel)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide
½ teaspoon water
Toothbrush

Process:

Put a tiny bit of toothpaste into a small cup, mixing in the baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water. Thoroughly mix together until a smooth creamy mixture. Brush teeth with mixture for two minutes and rinse completely. Use once or twice a week as a substitute for regular toothpaste. Only use this treatment until you reach desired whiteness. Over use could result in weakened teeth enamel. Save mixture in an airtight container and use every month or two to maintain whiteness.

Natural Tips to keeping teeth whiter

For those who do not want to use any harsh products, waste money buying the latest product, or just want to complement your cleaning routine? Here are some tips to keeping your teeth white.1. Brush regularly. As simple as this sounds, it’s not always easy to remember to brush twice a day.

2. Choose the right toothpaste. There are way too many options when choosing your paste. For whiter teeth opting for paste, not gel, will aid in a whiter smile, with no extra effort or cost. The paste has a natural whitener, baking soda, which natural keeps your teeth whiter.

3.
Don’t brush right after eating, drinking something acidic. You may want to brush your teeth immediately after that cup of coffee, however, your enamel is weaker right after being exposed to an acidic drink and may be damaged over time. The best option is to swish your mouth out with water and wait an hour to brush your teeth.

4.
Avoid unnecessary sugar. Sugar creates a large amount of plaque buildup, which results in discolored teeth. Try limiting sugary drinks and candy, especially.

5.
Avoid dyes. The colorful drinks such as koolaid, power drinks and juice will discolor your teeth over time. Same as colored icing, fruit snacks and other dyed foods. Consuming these foods and drinks are the same as dipping your teeth in food coloring. Try to limit your intake of dyed foods and liquid to reduce the discoloration effect.
