Soothe a sore or irritated throat easily, Create your own fast acting fantastic gargle for at home.
Sore Throat Remedy #1
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide
4 ounces of warm water
1 aspirin, crushed
Combine all ingredients, gargle thoroughly but do not swallow! The baking soda and salt soothe the throat, the peroxide kills bacteria and the aspirin relieves pain/soreness.
Remedy #2 Apple Cider Vinegar
To alleviate sore throat pain, combine 1 cup of very warm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of locally sourced honey. Mix and drink this mixture 2-3 times daily until symptoms subside.
Please be aware that is is not safe to give Honey to children under the age of 1 due to their immature immune systems and lack of natural stomach bacteria.
Remedy #3 Sage-echinacea throat spray
You’ll Need:
1 teaspoon ground sage.
1 teaspoon ground echinacea.
1/2 cup water.
Directions:
Bring the water to a boil.
Combine the sage and echinacea in a small mason jar and then add 1/2 cup of hot water.
Allow the herbs to steep for 30 minutes.
Strain the herbs using a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter and then combine with 1/2 cup hard liquor such as vodka or gin (skip the liquor if you are an alcoholic or prefer to avoid alcohol for any reason).
Place in small spray bottle and spray into throat every two hours or as needed.
Sage-echinacea spray has been shown to relieve sore throat discomfort as effectively as over the counter antiseptic medication spray.

Initially my thoughts were that it was bad to crush aspirin, but if you think about it, that’s exactly what Goody’s Headache or BC powders are, acetaminophen or ibuprofen Powder- so this makes perfect sense to me as to why it would work immediately!
