Acne scars can cause significant anxiety and damage self-esteem in teens and young adults, but it doesn’t have to. There is a very simple technique that you can use at home that will help the rejuvenate the skin, allowing it to heal and greatly diminish the appearance of the acne scarring.

You’ll Need:
A Russet Potato
Gauze Bandage Wrap

Wash a medium potato, peel it, leaving generous sized peelings. Rub the raw potato over the affected areas liberally. Apply the remaining peelings as a bandage (cover with gauze to hold in place). Leave on for at least 20-30 minutes.

Alternatively, you can cut the potato into thin slices or grate the raw potato. Do not use cooked potatoes folks, they don’t work.

Rinse the skin gently with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

This remedy has been reported to work on both burn and acne scars.

Scars created from burns are considered “contracture scars,” which often tighten the skin and can greatly hinder movement. While not all scars can be completely removed, this remedy can lessen the scar and help heal.

Repeat Daily until scars heal, (approximately 2 weeks).

Help Heal Acne Scars

Another way to help reduce acne scarring is through a facial mask of honey, oats and fresh lemon.

Oats offer anti-inflammatory properties and saponins, a natural cleansing agent, making oats perfect for all skin types,- yes, even sensitive skin.

Honey offers antibacterial and antioxidant properties, it’s perfect for achieving that “glow” while fighting acne, opening pores and nourishing aging skin.

Fresh lemon juice contains antibacterial and anti-fungal properties to fight off acne and blackheads. Lemon juice’s citric acid helps fade dark spots, acne scars and reduces an overabundance of oil.

Combine the following:

1/4 c. Tepid Water
2 Tbs Oatmeal, ground
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1 Tbs Honey

Mix well and apply over the affected area.

Leave on sensitive skin for 12-15 Minutes

Rinse with cool water

Repeat the treatment Every 3 days.
